About Carly

Carly, the creator of sacred studio has been many things in her life, a sculptor, a lecturer, a plant medicine explorer of alternate states of consciousness, a pain coach and a mentor.

Known for her Northern no-nonsense approach and her big heart, she brings her various life experiences to the therapy table.

This time working quite silently, delivering Alchemy of Touch bodywork, a deeply intuitive practice, she supports those ready to release blockages and tension held deep within the body that is so often the source of pain, inflammation and can, without attention become a source of subconscious loops in which the trauma gets stuck and issues become chronic.

After a lifelong journey navigating my own physical and emotional health, I have explored countless approaches within modern medicine, only to find myself circling back to ancient healing methods. This time with deeper understanding and reverence for these techniques, I arrive here today.

Each of us copes with pain and trauma in our own way. Yet, no matter how much processing we do through the mind, stress often becomes embedded in the body itself, altering the tension, elasticity, and sensory signalling of the fascia. This intricate network of connective tissue responds not only to physical strain, but also to emotional stress, holding on to what the mind believes it has already released.

Talking therapy is a powerful and validating tool, being seen and heard can be profoundly healing. But there are times when revisiting old narratives can entrench them further, and constant self-evaluation becomes exhausting. What if there were a way to let go of that baggage without needing a story, without needing words?

Here’s the good news: there is.
